Renting a car has not become a wide-spread habit yet. However, it is much more comfortable and cheaper than using public transport or taxi to go to work and thus its popularity is higher and higher. 

First step

If you want to rent a car, first you must decide what type of car you need. When you have done that it only takes a couple of minutes to arrange the rest. What you will always need is a valid driving licence and personal identification and address card.

Deposit and rental fee

The deposit is a sort of insurance, it is similar to that paid in hotels – if the car gets no damage you will get back the entire amount. What is more, at some rental companies you have the possibility to use your embossed credit card so you will not need to transfer money at all. This way you will only have to pay when you take the car back to the rental company. Many rental companies make it possible for partner companies to transfer money in advance but this service is not available for private customers.

Finally when you take the car back you will get the deposit back and you will need to pay the rental fee. Even if you transferred money in advance some extra costs might occur – payment is possible via bank transfer, via bank card or in cash personally at the company.
