It is more comfortable to travel with children in a rented car

An Australian study shows that it is more dangerous to travel with children than using your mobile while driving. Naughty children might seriously disturb their parents thus the risk for an accident is also higher. During the study there were cameras put into the cars of 12 families with an average of two children. They followed them for three weeks and all together 92 trips were analysed.According to the results paying attention to the children, talking, playing or comforting grouchy children decrease the attention and concentration of the driver and thus they are more likely to cause and accident. One of the main reasons for children being naughty is that they must sit for hours in a small car on top of or next to the luggage thus they get bored and start to cry, get hysterical and disturb the parent driving the car.

Our car might be perfect to drive to work alone or with our partner but it might not be suitable for a longer holiday with the family because the long journey and the luggage may cause inconvenience and the children’s naughtiness. It is worth to think ahead and rather rent a bigger and more comfortable car for a long holiday. The children will have enough room to sit comfortably at the rear seat and they will not be grouchy and peevish and daddy can drive calm and safe.
